Was in the LA area taking care of some business on an early Saturday afternoon & decided to stop at this "Reserve" location on the drive home.
I was hoping to get something unique I haven't tried yet but the menu had so many items marked as sold out which was a letdown. I guess the supply shortage is still very relevant?
I noticed they did still have available the Iced
Hazelnut Bianco Latte which I've had several times out in Palm Springs. I've always enjoyed it out there but that's because it's always tasted good out there. This was a very subpar version of what I've had before. It really just tasted like a weak hazelnut latte. Weak in hazelnut & coffee flavor.
My two star rating of this place is for my drink being a letdown as well as the staff definitely not being the most friendly Starbucks staff I've encountered. They weren't really rude just not welcoming & no real service. Also inside the food display case I saw several flies just flying around.
They are located on the corner of Sunset & Mohawk St. Adjacent to Chipotle & The Habit. Parking lot is in the back/side & shared with these as well as other businesses. I found parking right away but it is LA so it was pretty busy.
If you've never been to a Reserve location, the interior is much more impressive & design forward than the usual Starbucks, but not as impressive as a Reserve Roastery like in Seattle. It did look like they used to have two individual coffee bars in use before (pre-covid). The whole place kinda seems like that. Like a business just barely opening up or on the other side, closing down.
There were a good amount of both inside & outside seating available.
Based on this experience I do not plan on going back here. I enjoy Starbucks but they are at least a dime a dozen.
Cheers!
The two baristas who helped me today were friendly, kind, thoughtful and accommodating. I like the indoor and outdoor design, seating was plentiful and parking was okay. The only disappointing experience was the condition of the bathroom - just nasty and gross. To management: please hire professional cleaners to clean the walls, sink, etc.
Four (4) employees standing around talking on a weekend when there's about eleven dollars and fifty cents worth of coffee and other products sold in the past hour. That's at least sixty dollars per hour for employees.
The poor company has got to pay rent, pay delivery trucks for product, pay the light bill, pay insurance. In other words, the company hasn't made anything yet today and it's already six hours into the day. Why do these employees feel so entitled! 😕 🤔
Great coffee and great service! I love the interior of the store and can reflesh myself here doing my work! Staffs were excellent too and made my day!
For those complaining: It’s a regular Starbucks, not a Starbucks Reserve. A quick google search would save you the trouble.
That being said, this is by far one of the best Starbucks locations I’ve visited. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing but the staff is always warm and welcoming. We visit so often we’ve had the pleasure to get to know Angelo the store manager and a few of the barristas like Elizabeth and Steve. All who go above and beyond to make sure our drinks are always right and that we leave with a smile. Visiting this store is always a treat.
Nice Starbucks with high ceilings and a nice classy decor. They have select coffees that aren't offered in normal Starbucks. They also have different brewing methods and "experiences." If you're a coffee lover you'll be into it. I'm a casual coffee drinker so I couldn't fully appreciate it. Service is good and my coffee drink was very good.
Never been to a Starbucks Reserve but this location is... WOW. Consider your coffee experience on a whole new elevated level! The interior is hipster modern and the baristas are super friendly too.
Great customer service, lovely atmosphere. Open space both with indoor and outdoor seating.
